What it takes to be a princess!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I have been in my home town of Ocean Springs, MS, visiting with my family. As my trip is coming to an end this Wednesday, I decided to take some time and go through some of my pictures from my trip. Some of my favorites were of my two nieces Addilyn and Rosie.

So as I was cuddling with Addi on the couch, we had a discussion about her new room that she would be moving into, and how she wanted to decorate it. She very promptly blurted out PRINCESSES!! Therefore, we decided we take pictures of her dressed up as a princess to hang in her new room, and what we do for one niece we must do for the other:)

We spent some time discussing what was required to look like a princess, and after much deliberation she made her list:

First and foremost lots of PINK!!

Second, a crown

Next would be jewelry

 and then a wand

Last but certainly not least we have to have BEAUTIFUL little princesses!!

Apparently there is a lot more than just accessories, required to be a princess, attitude also plays a big part, and I learned all about it....

Princesses love to blow kisses to people

"They also always look so, so pretty"...in the words of Addi

and some times princesses just don't want to wear their crowns

and if they don't get their way...

They will be quick to let you know!!!

I sure do love my little princesses!

What doesn't eat Cheerios?

So today, the boys were introduced to a new friend. They were so excited by the small, unusual creature. It wasn't anything like the cats, dog, or horse they are used to seeing everyday, around home.
They made the biggest deal about they're new friend, wanting to constantly touch it (which I prohibited), talking to it, and finally Cole trying to feed it his Cheerios....
He kept insisting his new friend eat the Cheerios that he supplied for him, after all the dog and even the cats seem more than willing to eat the Cheerios he leaves for them, but not this creature.  Who (or in this case what) wouldn't eat Cheerios!?.....

Well apparently a turtle does not eat Cheerios, despite the demands of a pushy toddler.

And although Cole and Brody weren't allowed to touch the turtle, it did  not keep Allison from having to pick it up.

In the end the boys said "Bye Turtle" and Allison washed her hands followed by hand sanitizer. Cole retuned inside, to finish the Cheerios that weren't wasted on the turtle, and learned that not everone, or everything likes Cheerios. As I have been uploading these photos Cole has been by my chair reminding me that it is a "baby turtle" and when he sees the picture of the Cheerios he is quick to say "eww yuck" but that has not stopped him from eating the Cheerios out of his cup while assisting me with this post.
